Coporate Counsel / Attorney job in Columbia

We seek a skilled Attorney to join their team as a Corporate Counsel. In this position you will assist the General Counsel in providing guidance to all departments throughout the organization, promoting compliance with laws in all applicable jurisdictions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight and consultation to all company departments not involving claims litigation
• Review and monitor legislative and regulatory changes, recommending new or revised procedures
• Provide legal oversight and assist in supervision of regulatory examinations
• Responsible for preparation and review of corporate and vendor contracts
• Responsible for preparation and submission of regulatory filings and statements
• Develop working relationship with regulatory authorities in all jurisdictions where any corporate entity is authorized or licensed to sell products
• Recommend and develop company policy and position on legal issues

Skills & Experience

• Current law license
• Previous legal experience with exposure to insurance coverage, regulatory and/or compliance matters

Compensation & Benefits
$150,000 to $160,000, bonus, competitive benefits
