Wholesale Professional / Cyber Liability Underwriter

Location: Atlanta, Chicago, or Phoenix

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading insurance company that has been a key player in the industry for several decades. This carrier started this wholesale professional liability book in 2018 and has experienced significant growth in recent years, reaching a book size of $32M by the end of 2023.

Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth and manage relationships within the Wholesale Professional Liability sector, focusing on Cyber and E&O (Tech, Miscellaneous, Manufacturers).
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key wholesale brokers such as RT Specialty, AmWins, CRC, ARC, etc.
• Handle a diverse book of business, with a primary emphasis on E&O, while also managing Cyber risks.
• Contribute to the differentiation of our client in the market, positioning them as leaders in the industry.
• Meet new business goals, with a specific focus on achieving $1.5M to $2M in 2024.
• Reports to: the Head of Wholesale Professional Liability

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 6 years in a leadership role, preferably in Wholesale Professional Liability.
• Proven track record of driving business growth and managing profitable relationships.
• Specialization in E&O with a good understanding of Cyber risks.
• Familiarity with the fast-paced environment of wholesale brokerage, demonstrating an ability to thrive in high-volume scenarios.
• Strong network within the wholesale broker community, with established relationships at firms such as RT Specialty, AmWins, CRC, ARC, etc.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a production-oriented role, demonstrating a history of exceeding business targets.
• Willingness to work in the office at least 2 times per week, with specific locations in Atlanta, Chicago, or Phoenix.
• Comfortable with territory-dependent responsibilities based on the chosen location.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-off, entrepreneurial approach.
