This role is integral to our Midwest operations, focusing on mid to large-sized accounts with heavy industrial and technical exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwriting Expertise: Utilize your technical property underwriting expertise to assess risks, write accounts, and manage a diverse portfolio, including heavy industrial, oil, petrochemical, chemical, steel, and power generation.
• Account Management: Handle mid to large-sized accounts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and risk mitigation.
• Territory Focus: Concentrate on the Midwest region, with a particular emphasis on the Chicago market.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a team of underwriters, associate underwriters, and regional managers to ensure effective risk evaluation and portfolio management.

Qualifications:

• Technical Property Underwriting Experience: Direct experience in technical property underwriting is crucial, with a focus on heavy industrial and energy-related risks.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with classes such as oil, petrochemical, chemical, steel, and power generation.
• Account Handling: Proven ability to handle mid to large-sized accounts with a focus on property, business interruption, builders' risk, and boiler machinery.
• Territory Expertise: Strong understanding of the Midwest market, particularly in Chicago.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of underwriting professionals.
