Regional Claims Director-U.S. Operations 200k-300k base, incentives, New York City Region/Hybrid
Global insurance company has developed a new position for Regional Claims Director to oversee the U.S. Operations responsible for developing and delivering efficient and high quality claims and advisory services to members and brokers specializing in logistics, marine, port, transport operations and terminal sectors within the Americas region. The Regional Claims Director will have oversight of claims handling services in the region, ensure claims handling is carried out in line with company procedures. Manage claims audits and have line management of claims executives in the NYC area office, including responsibility for training and mentoring. In addition, the Regional Claims Director will have oversight of all network partners with in the region to include contracts, fixed fee arrangements, PI insurance requires, biennial audits, monthly conference calls. Handle complex claims issues within he region. Assist with contract review and strongly promote and support the loss prevention work undertaken by Loss Prevention Team. This position requires 10+ years of progressive claims responsibilities, leadership and management. Excellent presentation, communication, organizational, leadership and management skills. Strong business acumen. Strong knowledge of Bodily Injury AND PI, ocean, inland, cargo marine claims coverages as well as transportation and logistics. Excellent Analytical mindset. Willingness to train and develop claims professionals. Ability to carry out presentations to management and stakeholders. Advanced degree, education and professional development licenses. Legal background(Attorney) strongly desired. Compensation will be dependent on background and experience, 200k-300k base, incentives, benefits. Hybrid. New York City area. This position also requires overseas travel as needed.
