Our client, an A rated carrier in Florida is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. The specialist will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, recommending and administering our employee benefit programs. They will ensure compliance with insurance, tax, and other regulations and filing requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
Reviews, analyzes, recommends and administers employee benefits programs.
Partner with the Company’s broker and/or legal counsel on benefit plan modifications, communication and annual renewals.
Manages 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan, including, day-to-day administration, compliance testing and annual audit. Member and coordinator of the 401k Administrative Committee.
Manages employee leaves of absence (LOA), including administration of STD, LTD, and FMLA.
Reviews and processes all benefit transactions, enrollments and benefits related changes in the HRIS system.
Coordinates annual open enrollment, including communications to employees, systems set up and monitoring, and coordination of data to providers.
Administers employee Workers’ Compensation claims; acts as liaison with workers’ compensation third-party administrator.
The ideal candidate will have:
6 plus years benefits experience including administration of 401k plan
Advanced knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations that govern benefit programs.
Advanced knowledge of employee health and welfare benefits plans.
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to research, understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to benefits programs and to advise management of relevant issues.
Ability to effectively evaluate programs, develop strategic plans and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to senior leadership.
Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (UKG preferred)

Salary:  $80,000 - $110,000
