Position Overview:

As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the regulatory reporting requirements of our client's operations. You will be responsible for handling various regulatory filings, including NCCI, NISS, and other bureau advisory filings, with a focus on surplus lines. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial lines products and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute regulatory reporting requirements for our client's specialty lines carrier, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all submissions.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and updates affecting the insurance industry, particularly in commercial lines and surplus lines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data and information for regulatory filings.
  • Utilize SQL and other tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets related to regulatory reporting.
  • Support internal audits and examinations by regulatory bodies, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in regulatory reporting workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting within the insurance industry, preferably within commercial lines.
  • Strong knowledge of NCCI, NISS, and other bureau advisory filings, with a focus on surplus lines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience in manipulating large datasets is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
