Summary:

As a Middle Market P&C Underwriter, you'll be responsible for underwriting all lines of Property and Casualty insurance with a focus on general industries such as Manufacturing, Restaurants, Distributors, Real Estate, and Hospitality. With a book size of approximately $10M, you'll set and achieve new business goals ranging from $1.5M to $2M. Our ideal candidate will have experience handling accounts ranging from $150k to $1.5M and will manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 retailers. The territory primarily covers Seattle but extends to the entire Pacific Northwest region.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite all lines of Property and Casualty insurance for middle market clients.
• Manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 retailers.
• Set and achieve new business goals in line with company objectives.
• Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Collaborate with team members and utilize AI-powered "Solutions Tool" to enhance underwriting decisions and insights into losses.
• Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Property and Casualty underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of general industries, including Manufacturing, Restaurants, Distributors, Real Estate, and Hospitality.
• Experience managing accounts ranging from $150k to $1.5M.
• Proven track record of achieving new business goals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology tools for underwriting purposes.
