Property Underwriter-Excess & Surplus Lines job in Northern New Jersey

E&S Property Underwriter to 140K base/bonus plan. NYC, New Jersey or Boston
National insurance carrier is seeking an additional Excess & Surplus Lines Property Underwriter to join their successful Property Team, responsible for developing and growing a profitable book by creating a balance between catastrophe driven business and traditional E & S Fire Risks. The E&S Property Underwriter will have full support from management, utilizing significant technological resources, established infrastructure and leadership. The E&S Property Underwriter will be responsible for writing new and renewal business and establishing relationships with the wholesale brokerage community. The qualified E&S Property Underwriter will have 3-10 years of property underwriting experience with established wholesale brokerage relationships. Experience underwriting in the surplus lines marketplace. Strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail. Must be a team player who knows how to manage and grow an excess & surplus lines property book. Bachelors Degree preferred; designations a plus(CPCU, CIC, AU). To 140K base(depending on experience level), bonus plan, 401K, full benefits.
