Home Office Underwriting Consultant - Surety job in Philadelphia

General Placement Service has been engaged by a highly rated insurance carrier to recruit a senior level surety bond underwriter that will function in a home office role managing referral underwriting for all field staff around the country. This position would be an excellent step for a senior underwriter who is looking for a move up the ladder in their career.

Our client is a standard surety writer with an emphasis on the construction space. Their appetite is mid-range and does include a small amount of more difficult niche business like environmental surety. They will also entertain large commercial surety accounts, but experience on that side is not required.

To be a fit candidates must have a minimum of 8 years progressive surety underwriting experience. A degree and industry designations are preferred.
