Commercial Underwriter-In House/Work from Home Arrangement to 95K Maryland/DC/Virginia/PA Region
A+ property and casualty insurance carrier with a long history of financial success is continuing to grow the Mid Atlantic Region and is seeking a Commercial Underwriter responsible for underwriting new small to middle market business(15K-200k+ premium size). The “Desk” Underwriter will also have the opportunity to visit retail agents and brokers once a week. The qualified underwriter will have a minimum 5 years direct standard lines carrier commercial multi line or package underwriting, with a proven background developing retail agency relationships in the Maryland/DC/Virginia Region. This is primarily an inside underwriter role, however, candidates within a 2 hour radius of Baltimore/Hunt Valley will be considered and provided with a work from home arrangement(with once a week travel to underwriting office). Bachelors Degree strongly preferred.
