Employee Benefits Account Manager – San Jose or Menlo Park
The Rogan Group, Inc. a Risk Management and Insurance Recruiting firm is assisting a California insurance brokerage client in identifying Employee Benefit Account Manager to work from their San Jose or Menlo Park locations.

Position Outline:
• Title – Employee Benefit Account Manager
• Duties
• Partner with benefits consultant to develop effective new and renewal marketing strategies, partner with client advocate to obtain new or updated client information and partner with marketing to execute the RFP process.
• Partner with benefits consultant to negotiate terms and determine plans that will be included in new and renewal proposals.
• Prepare new and renewal proposals, obtain necessary documents and communicate with client and carriers in order to finalize renewals. Obtain carrier approval, share approval with client and cancel old plans if necessary. Send SPD’s and EOC’s to clients.
• Partner with client advocate to create or update benefits overview, create benefit cards and create or update client site.
• Partner with technology specialist to build or modify Plansource per client needs.
• Partner with client advocate to prepare open enrollment presentation and materials. As agreed upon with producer to schedule and deliver open enrollment presentations for clients.
• Answer employee and producer questions across a broad spectrum of subjects including: leave management, coverage, billing, claims, eligibility issues, section 125 plans.
• Work with clients to deliver new employee benefits orientation.
• Compensation: $80-110K salary range.

Qualifications:
• Desire to work in partnership with benefits consultants to grow a book of business
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive employee benefits insurance experience (brokerage experience preferred). Large group experience required. Insurance designations a plus.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and coverage.
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
• Ability to develop meaningful relationships with insurance carriers and with fellow employees.
• College degree preferred.
• Life and Health License required.
