Regional Underwriting Manager-Technology job in Boston/Boston Suburbs

Regional Underwriting Manager-Technology Business Boston to 150K+
Specialty insurance carrier with a national platform is seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager for to develop the Massachusetts technology marketplace. The qualified underwriting leader will be responsible for the day to day underwriting, marketing, business development, retail agency relationships and profitability of the Massachusetts region, expanding into other New England states as the business grows. The Underwriting Manager will also be responsible for building their own underwriting/marketing team as the region grows to a profitability in order to expand the region. The qualified Regional Underwriting Manager candidate will have a minimum of 5 years(7-10 ideal) of middle market(25K-1M plus) multi line or package underwriting experience from a commercial lines carrier, preferably within the technology or products space, however, other middle market commercial package underwriting and marketing experience will be considered. Proven background with existing retail agency relationships in Massachusetts. Strong entrepreneurial spirit, the drive to write profitable business, interpersonal, communication and broad technical skills required. College degree and/or insurance designations preferred(CPCU, CIC, AU). Compensation to 150K base depending upon experience level, bonus, incentives, benefits package. This position also requires an individual who wants to start up and build a profitable book and presence in the Boston area.
