This is a perfect opportunity if you embrace the concept of working with small businesses owners. This Benefits Account Manager role services fully insured, small group health programs for companies covering less than 100 lives. You will be successful in this role if understand and appreciate the subtle differences between large and small groups; you want to make an impact and be more one-on-one with smaller groups.


Is This Role Right For Me?
1. Knowledgeable- This position requires at least two (2) years of experience working with group medical insurance products. The agency offers training if you come from an insurance carrier or TPA. The key is you have a foundation of past work with group health insurance plan management.

2. Confident- With the knowledge you bring to the table, you have a natural ability to sit down with owners to extract key information, discuss their operations and make recommendations.

3. Entrepreneurial- You approach the service process in a consultative way. You’re friendly and outgoing but can have hard conversations when needed, as much as an advisor to the client than just taking orders and fulfilling policy requests.

 

Experience Needed: Employee benefits insurance experience within the insurance industry. Understanding of how to juggle client communication with renewals and open enrollments. Any additional background in HR or benefits administration is helpful but not required. State life and insurance license.

Salary:  $60,000 - $80,000
Bonus/Benefits:  Benefits Pkg
