Senior/Executive Underwriter - Inland Marine job in United States

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Executive Inland Marine to join our carrier clients team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Builders Risk, Contractors Equipment, MTE (commodities transported by for-hire trucks), Miscellaneous (Floaters, Electronic Data Processing, Equipment Dealers, etc.), and other standard Inland Marine lines. Experience with both admitted and non-admitted business, dual distribution (retail and wholesale producers), and existing broker relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate underwriting data to assess risk eligibility and determine appropriate coverage.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and producers.
• Provide expertise in Inland Marine (Property) insurance to support the underwriting process.
• Meet established profitability and written premium goals.
• Make independent underwriting decisions within authorized limits.
• Stay abreast of market trends and identify emerging threats to the department.
• Participate in training, initiatives, and industry events as required.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with risk management controls.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in Inland Marine (Property) insurance.
• Existing relationships with brokers, agents, and producers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; CRIS, AMIM, or CPCU certifications preferred.
