Captive Accounting Manager - Tax & Reporting
Consulting firm located in Phoenix, AZ will hire an experienced P&C insurance accounting and tax lead.
• Prepares quarterly and annual statements on a statutory basis (and a GAAP basis, as needed)
• Prepares insurance company tax returns and other compliance
• Maintains accounting records and
• Prepares adjusting journal entries to post to the general ledger and reconciles general ledger
• Utilizes and develops a basic understanding of our in‐house software, as well as QuickBooks.
• Works with confidential client
• Meets productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting (graduate degree or CPA preferred but not required) and 1‐plus years of accounting or tax experience (experience with insurance accounting preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP, GAAP and IRS tax code/regulations
• Excellent human relations and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi‐task within restricted time constraints
• Advanced knowledge of Excel

Position is bonus eligible and relocation assistance can be negotiated at offer.
