Sr. Financial Accountant job in Columbia

Global, publicly held group with an office located in Columbia, SC will hire a Senior Reinsurance Accountant. The client is looking to attract candidates who have experience in all aspects of reinsurance - ceded, assumed, brokering, etc. Should bring reinsurance calculation experience as the company does this manually. Should have experience implementing reinsurance systems. Looking for a prospect who can make a meaningful contribution as to thoughts and ideas to improve procedures.

P&C carrier reinsurance accounting experience is required.

A certain level of expertise in posting complex journal entries and reconciliations is required. Must be able to hit the ground running with little or no training.

Will have SOX control documentation responsibilities, will perform balance sheet reconciliations, will update Excel files used to monitor gross and ceded accounts and do reinsurance calculations related to XOL & Quota Share contracts. Relocation assistance might be negotiated at offer.
