Chief Underwriting Officer- to 200K base

Property and casualty insurance carrier writing niche commercial lines business is seeking a Chief Underwriting Officer. The qualified CUO candidate will be responsible for the complete day to day management of the underwriting and compliance teams, profitable growth, maintaining and building the retail agency distribution plant as well as build and expand their new wholesale brokerage distribution system. This position will oversee  underwriting and product managers directly and indirectly the underwriting teams. This position requires a motivated, technically sound commercial lines underwriting leader who is focused on continued and long term profitable growth with a niche background in commercial transportation and/or commercial auto as well as having the interest and ability to take on additional professional growth responsibilities. 10+ years insurance carrier underwriting leadership and/or progression of underwriting leadership, or actuarial with a strong background in transportation or commercial auto. Additionally candidates with a mix of mga and carrier(leaning more towards carrier) background will be considered. Bachelors Degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred. Designations(CPCU, CIC, etc.) strongly preferred. to 200K base including bonus, incentives, benefits package. Relocation candidates to the Jacksonville, Florida area will be strongly considered.
