Underwriter - Contractors job in Pittsburgh

General Placement Service has been engaged exclusively on a new position with a leading construction insurer in downtown Pittsburgh. This position will underwrite nationally for medium to large construction risks. They focus on distributing their products through a refined network of specialty agents and brokers who are niched in construction.

To be qualified for this role an underwriter needs to have multiple coverage line experience with a strength in GL, Excess and Auto. Those with mono-line comp or property experience can also be considered. My client wants to hire someone with a go getter attitude and a teachable personality. Construction experience is not required, however a strong desire to learn and invest in the process of gleaning construction knowledge is!
