Director Nurse Case Management job in St.Louis

Our client, an industry leader in the alternative insurance market and named a “Best Place to Work” by Business Insurance Magazine is seeking to hire an experienced Manager to lead their team of Nurse Case Managers due to an upcoming retirement.

JOB SUMMARY:
Mid-Level Professional Management Position reporting to the Senior Vice President of Claims.
Responsible for leadership and management of Medical Management Unit in addition to assisting Claims Department personnel with medical related issues on their claims, overseeing medical vendor relationships and assist the Business Development and Communications department with marketing efforts. Develop medical policies for the Claims Department.
Responsible for direct supervision of Medical Management staff
• Provide initial and ongoing training and complete performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Establish work assignments for Medical Management Analysts
Active member of the Claims Department management team.
Works under minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: RN, and Bachelor degree, Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years nursing experience (ER, OR, ICU, or Rehab, etc.)
Workers Comp Nurse Case Management experience, minimum 5 years.
Minimum 10 years supervisory experience
