A Rated Insurance Carrier is seeking a RN Case Manager to join their “Best in Class” Worker’ Compensation Division as a leading onsite “Medical Expert.”

Location: Worcester, MA Full- time

The Nurse Case Manager is responsible for providing telephonic case management services for claimants with compensable injuries.

This position provides a very competitive salary, bonus and merit raise potential w/robust benefit package

Please Note: this position is open to candidates in the Boston, MA area and requires regular in-office presence. Candidates outside of the daily commuting distance to /seeking 100% work from home will not be considered.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, injured claimants and claims professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Monitors and evaluates claimant’s responses to medical treatment and progress in recovery, and makes recommendations for alternative treatment or care options if needed.
Acts to enhance injured workers’ adherence and progress toward maximum medical improvement.
Coordinates and monitors referrals to medical management vendors, as needed.
Effectively manages assigned caseload of medical/disability cases in accordance with Massachusetts WC statute and company guidelines.
Coordinates pharmacy benefit management and ancillary services, as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:

Registered nurse with current MA state licensure.
Must be a Certified Case Manager
Working knowledge of and the demonstrated ability to confirm with the requirements of the Massachusetts WC statute
Minimum of three years of clinical experience in applicable nursing specialty field (i.e. occupational health, rehabilitation, orthopedics, home care, emergency, etc.)
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
Effective interpersonal communication and writing skills
Organizational skills with regard to time management, task prioritization, and integration of information from a variety of sources
Ability to determine and meet internal and external customer needs
