Life Insurance Model Governance Actuary opening in North Carolina. Supporting model governance and model review initiatives; help define and document best practices for actuarial modeling and evaluating the consistency of new business profitability models for Universal Life, Variable Universal Life, and other Interest Sensitive products; liaise with Product Development and Risk Management Divisions to monitor the product developmental cycle and ensure that the pricing models have adopted proper assumptions; review Statutory/GAAP income statement and profit measurements; communicate results to senior executives; review new product implementation vis-à-vis the Valuation system. Ideal candidate is ASA or FSA with 5+ years of Life and/or LTC Product Development, Pricing, or Valuation experience; proficiency with Prophet, MG-ALFA, or other actuarial projection software systems.
