Commercial Lines Umbrella Underwriter job in New York

Our client, a National Wholesale/MGA organization is seeking to recruit a Commercial Lines Umbrella Underwriter for NYC office.

Doing business in all 50 states, and has specialty offerings within Real Estate and Hospitality sectors.

Position will review, underwrite and rate broker submissions for new and renewal business that is generated through on-line platform quoting system.

Duties to include the following:

•Underwrite Umbrella Liability Risks

•Manage service staff

•Manage broker and carrier relations

•Create annual primary and reinsurance plan for platform

•Underwriting audits as needed

Qualifications:

•BA Degree or greater

•P&C Insurance License

•8+ years of Commercial Umbrella Underwriting experience (Carrier or Wholesale)

•Marketing and production underwriting experience

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
