Claims Practice Leader/Analyst - DC10198 job in Long Island

Claims Practice Leader/Analyst opening in Long Island, New York. The Claims Practice Leader is a newly created position and has a key role in planning, assisting in the development, and responsible for the implementation of policies, processes, system business requirements and ongoing management of the new NY Family Paid Leave (PFL) product. The position will work closely with current Claims management and partner with the Project Manager integrating PFL into existing NY Disability Benefits Law (DBL) policies, processes and systems. Work with IT to implement technologies to support claim adjudication. The position will serve as subject-matter expert, keeping up to date on all product regulations, manage PFL staff, and assist with the training of the claims examiners, clients and company staff. Ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of claims work experience; knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to leaves of absence and NY DBL; experience developing system business requirements; experience with managing a staff. Work with claim TPA to ensure continuous improvements and compliance with performance metrics. College degree and excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
