Healthcare Underwriting Assistant opening in New Jersey. Responsible to support assigned underwriters with processing of business, to handle most complex risks with set up, processing, booking, policy issuance, invoicing and post bind transactions within timelines as established and to ensure compliance with all organizational controls and regulatory requirements. Work with Underwriters to support life cycle of an account from beginning to end; work with Underwriters to prepare data for the actuary team for the development of pricing or complete pricing locally at direction of the Underwriter; prepare binders with direction from Underwriters. Quote IP accounts for those brokers who do not have escape; maintain procedure manuals for various lines of business; provide prompt and accurate customer service on policy transactions; responsible to process the most complex risks with set up, processing, booking, policy issuance, invoicing and post bind transactions; ensure all risks are processed within delegated authority and underwriting processing standards; provide documented evidence of work activities and decisions in files as required. Manage company records (including data files), as per company guidelines, and adhere to all requirements established by the compliance team. Ideal candidate 3 years relevant experience and insurance education from Insurance Institute of American, such as CPCU courses, is a plus; General knowledge of (LOB) underwriting practices, coverage & rating methodologies; basic knowledge of insurance company operations.
