This is an exciting time to consider this client and this role. The client has made a number recent acquisitions, has added additional lines of business and is looking at other expansion opportunities. This is all being driven by resources the Client’s parent company is giving them.

 

It’s not a very big shop, but it’s growing. The client is doing close to $1.5 BB in terms of top line, is attracting some significant names from the insurance industry (especially recently) and is building out a number internal groups such as investments, reporting, FP&A, reinsurance and tax. All of this is being driven by growth. In terms of its footprint, the Client is an international carrier with worldwide interests in insurance and reinsurance and locations/operations in Bermuda, New York, London and other locations overseas.

 

Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the client is looking for a Vice President of Tax Planning. The scope of this role is primarily focused on tax optimization strategies within the Client’s global structure, global transfer pricing as well as post execution compliance.

 

A JD, Tax LL.M. pus 10-15 years of relevant tax experience from a major law or Big 4 firm is preferred. Insurance experience is required. Compensation is open but gravitating to the $200,000+ range on the fixed. The role is expected to be in the $250,000+ range all in. Compensation could be higher for the right candidate. Also - Due to a recent promotion internally, this same client will also be seeking an AVP, Tax Manager for this group. Similar skill set. Big 4 background is idea, JD not required on this one.

Salary:  Open
Bonus/Benefits:  $175,000 - $225,000 plus bonus
