Risk Specialist to 85K base, bonus, full benefits, Scottsdale, AZ
This role will be dedicated to helping our high net worth clientele reduce their exposure to loss. This position is critical to our strategy of providing customized loss prevention consultation to policyholders. The Risk Management Specialist will assess new business accounts and provide an initial risk management review. By working collaboratively with our agency partners and internal stakeholders, the Risk Management Specialist help determine appropriate levels of insurance and direct subsequent interaction between customers and carrier or other field staff.
The ideal candidate will have Personal Lines risk management experience in the high net worth space and will perform reviews of client properties for the purpose of identifying underwriting concerns, potential hazards and developing risk mitigation strategies and determining appropriate levels of insurance to value. Serve as workflow manager to ensure tasks are routed to field staff effectively, monitor progress and report results as appropriate. Demonstrate skill in managing exposures cause by water damage, homes under construction, personal safety and security, natural disasters and other perils typical to the territory and clientele. Clearly communicate as necessary with clients, agency partners and internal stakeholders one’s findings and determinations and work to develop a plan to mitigate risk in a manner consistent with company philosophy. Minimum 3 years’ experience in personal insurance risk management, loss control, construction, residential or commercial appraising, underwriting, property claims, actuarial or a related field position. Ability to identify potential causes of loss and develop appropriate recommendations. Ability to recognize various construction practices and understand building costs and associated issues. Strong insurance and business acumen as well as experience in the high net worth marketplace. Exceptional technical, oral and written communication skills.
