Workers Compensation Claim Supervisor opening in New York City. Growing W/C self-insured self-administered Company seeks a successful Supervisor with at least 5 years in a workers’ compensation claim operation and 2 years of supervisory experience to partner with the senior management to directly supervise the Claims unit. Accountable for the quality of claim services and assurance of daily compliance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with the NY State Workers Compensation Board. Establish and oversee reserves within established reserve authority levels. Authorize payments of claims in accordance with claim procedures. Participate in negotiating settlements in accordance to Corporate Claim standards, client specific handling instructions and state laws, when appropriate. Ensure that staff consistently meets EDI standards. Conduct internal audits .Partake in the selection process of new hires. Participate in annual performance evaluations. Candidate must have State specific licensing and certifications-NY State Adjusters License, college degree desirable. Knowledge of Riskmasters preferred. Required skills- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to develop, analyze and communicate claim management reports. Superior knowledge of complex Auto situation and all aspects of the litigation management process. Proficiency in Microsolft Suite applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point. Willingness to participate in training and attending conferences, which may include limited travel. Open Salary and excellent benefits. (DC10155)
