Employee Benefits Consultant – Philadelphia, PA

Our full service insurance brokerage client, in the Philadelphia area, provides a complete range of sophisticated services to their clients. As part of their growth plan, they are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant, who will act as the relationship manager, as well as oversee the service team for a core group of larger clients, up to 1,000 lives.

Position Outline:

• Develop and maintain strategic approach to their EB offerings
• Assist clients in identifying emerging trends and compliance information
• Develop plan designs, vendor choices, technology options
• Be accountable for the profitability of the book
• Manage client service and project team

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in Health Benefits (MIN 7 yrs. with 100+ lives. Preference is to find someone w/ up to 1,000 lives).
• Strong knowledge of Fully & Self Insured Plans (Carrier/TPA review & negotiation, network analysis, stop loss, claims reporting, data analytics). Ancillary lines, compliance (ACA, HIPAA, Section 125, etc), current legislation, Wellness, Talent Management strategies, etc
• Education should include Bachelor’s Degree w/ concentration in HR, Health Policy, Risk Management/Insurance or a related field is a plus…..Master’s Degree Preferred!
• Microsoft Excel, strong grasp of Actuarial / Financial disciplines
• Professional Designation (REBC, GBA, CEBS)
• L&H License, Membership in L&H Associations preferred.

Compensation:
$125k to $150k plus potential for incentive bonus, commensurate with experience.
