Insurance Agency Employee Benefits Producer Wanted – Large Regional Insurance Agency (NoCal)

Our client, a National Growers Association dedicated to the agricultural industry since 1926 is recruiting Employee Benefits Producers in Sacramento and Salinas, CA who would like to take advantage of a captive market (sell to existing association members). 

Client Profile:

 
• Agriculture Association dedicated to Growers, Packers and Shippers in AZ and CA.

• 350 staff serving 2,400 association members.

• Association is a non-profit that provides Legislative, Educational and Business Support.   

• 8 locations throughout CA and AZ.

Insurance Division Profile:

• 13M revenue independent retail agency
  o   10M in Employee Benefits Revenue
  o   2M in WC Revenue
  o   1M in P&C Revenue
• EB Product Lines – Full suite of Health, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, AD&D, Life and Ancillary products.
• EB Plan Designs – Fully Insured, Large Deductible and Self-Funded options with conventional carriers and an EB Trust program.
• There is 48% penetration of association members with EB products, but only 5% penetration on P&C products.  Producers also will have the opportunity to cross sell P&C products including WC, P&C, Crop, Executive Liability, Package, Cargo, EPLI and Recall.
• Value-added services offered: HR Consulting, Analytics, Claims, Loss Control, Captives, and Bi Lingual support.  
• Automation: EPIC Agency Management System and Salesforce.com (CRM)
• Compensation: Salary (Negotiable based on experience), Commission rates 40/25 model, Producer equity program (as non-profit, they use SAR Program)
• Insurance Offices Locations: Irvine, Fresno, Salinas, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Santa Maria and Phoenix, AZ.
• Additional Insurance entities owned by this company include:
  o   EB Insurance Trust – EB option for members
  o   TPA – EB TPA for self-funded plans.
  o   Health Exchange

 
Position Outline:

 
•Employee Benefits Producer

•Responsible for new business sales to association members and related entities

Qualifications:

 
•5+ years of insurance agency experience in an EB Production role 

•Knowledge of the Agricultural sector (Growers, Packers, Shippers and related)

•College Degree, L&H License.

•Additional industry certifications are a plus (e.g. CEBS, CPCU, ARM, CIC).
