Actuary - ACAS job in Greater Tampa Bay

Actuary
This position manages current and future states in all product lines of insurance (home, renters, condo, flood, dwelling fire, earthquake, equipment) by performing rate reviews, preparation of rate filings, performing actuarial studies as assigned, and responding to inquiries from regulatory departments. This position has direct responsibility for up to one or two direct reports at the analyst or senior analyst level.

Carrier will prefer ACAS with a commitment to achieve the FSA designation.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in related field
Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience.
Practical experience with tools for predictive analytics
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Advanced presentation skills
Work extremely well independently
Project management skills
Lead project teams both with and without formal reporting authority
Ability to work with multiple competing priorities.
