Sr. Property Underwriter-Large Commercial P / C Insurance-NYC, NY (NYCPropUW)

Our global client is seeking a Medium-Large Account Property Underwriter to underwrite Fortune 1000 accounts for their office in midtown Manhattan, NYC. As a Sr. Property Underwriting Specialist in the primary property group, you will be responsible for underwriting property solutions for Fortune 1000 accounts. You will be responsible for some new business development, renewals and retention. You will develop and maintain relationships with brokers/insureds and profitably grow and maintain a book of business. You will have broad limits and authority, have a good understanding of CAT exposures, and will work on some highly complex accounts, including reverse flow business.

A minimum of ten+ years of Medium-Large ($250K-$1M) property underwriting experience in the region is required, as well as experience working with property loss control consultants. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and experience with Microsoft office tools, pricing programs and CAT modeling software is needed. You will also need to have producer contacts within the region.
