Underwriting Director- Commercial Lines Midwest/ $160k+

A+ Property and Casualty carrier with a domestic and global presence is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Director for a growing niche business segment.
The Director will be responsible for on-going development and refinement of specialty products and services provided to the client network, as well as, being charged with the development of new programs including underwriting guidelines/rules, new products, and rating plans. Duties include analysis of rating adequacy and underwriting guidelines to ensure the achievement of targeted underwriting goals. In addition, the Director will bring a successful track record in training Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants and Client Service Representatives and be able to coordinate with production underwriters in the development of profitable niche program business. Qualified candidates will also have a demonstrated background in program analysis and new program/product development. Qualifications must include a minimum of ten years of successful insurance company multi-line property casualty underwriting and underwriting management, along with 3 years of supervisory experience in managing and overseeing an underwriting unit. Experience in property and workers compensation is a plus. Compensation is up to 160K base range depending upon experience. Bonus plan and full benefits package included.
