Risk Management Specialist - THG80648 job in Houston

We are currently interviewing for someone who is highly motivated to fill a Risk Management Specialist position. This individual will work closely with the Director or Risk Management to assist in the annual renewal process by compiling underwriting data.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Manages insurance policies and maintains accurate records of coverage

2. Monitors all insurance renewals to ensure timely renewals and no gaps in coverage

3. Tracks/monitors all Certificates of Insurance

4. Assists Director-Risk Management with construction project insurance applications and the annual renewal process; provides underwriting information

5. Works closely with the Accounting Department to correctly allocate insurance premiums and ensure timely processing of legal invoices

Qualifications:

1. 5-7 years risk management experience

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field strongly preferred.

3. Solid knowledge of Excel with ability to create spreadsheets and use Excel functions; working knowledge of all other MS Office product

4. Ability to read and interpret various insurance terms and evaluate contract insurance

requirements.

5. Possess strong problem solving skills with an ability to take initiative and think independently

6. Demonstrate high level of energy and commitment to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and

collaborative environment

7. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with limited supervision while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accuracy

8. Ability to discern relevant material from large volumes of data

9. Bilingual- English/Spanish a plus
