Position Summary:

Casualty adjuster position handling Commercial Auto and GL claims.

Responsible for the prompt and efficient examination, investigation and settlement or declination of insurance claims through effective research, negotiation and interaction with insureds and claimants, ensuring that company resources are utilized in a cost effective manner in the process.

Essential Job Functions

Processes General Liability claims from inception to closure.Maintains a quality assurance program to support the Total Performance Management initiative and the consistent delivery of quality claims service.Develops and manages General Liability claims action plans to resolution, coordinates claim process and approves claim payments.Manages subrogation of claims and negotiates settlements.Communicates claim action/processing with client.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience

The position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial claims handling Auto BI and GL, adjusting involving complex claims.Experience in litigation management. Must have Carrier Experience. College degree is not a prerequisite for this position; however employee should possess such skills and knowledge as are normally gained in the successful completion of a four-year college program.Maintain valid adjusters’ license(s) in states assigned or an ability to obtain same.Insurance coursework (e.g. IIA, CPCU, SCLA and AEI) is beneficial.
