Professional Liability Claim Analyst, D&O job in Chicago

Primary Job Functions:
-The direct handling of professional liability claims for Director & Officer's claims as it pertains to financial institutions i.e. banks, lender liability, investment firms, etc.
Duties are:
-Analyze Coverage
-Prepare and execute investigative action plans
-Evaluate exposure and set appropriate reserves
-Negotiate fair and timely settlements
-Direct and manage defense and coverage counsel and insure they work within scope and litigation budget
-Attend mediation and other court ordered settlement functions. Monitor trials.
-Reports to a Claim Director and senior claims management.

Qualifications:
-B.S or B.A. from an accredited college or university. Advanced degrees, industries designations (CPCU, AIC, etc.) or J.D. is a preferred.
-10 years in P&C claims and at least 5 years in professional liability claims handling D&O. Errors & Omissions claims experience may be considered depending particular line of experience.
-Superior writing skills for communications of claim exposure to the company’s senior management.
-Experience using paperless automated claim systems along with Micro Soft products.
-The ability to travel domestically.
