Professional Liability Account Executive – New York, NY

Our client, a Top National Broker is seeking an Account Executive that will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of the Executive Risk book of business including but not limited to E&O, D&O, EPL, LPL, Cyber, Fiduciary and other professional liability policy accounts.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The job duties of a Senior Account Executive include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the overall service and renewal of the more complex placements within the Executive Risk department. Create client proposals for new business and renewals. Review policies, create and implement marketing strategies and provide recommendations to clients regarding placement options. Maintain continuous coverage and keep all clients abreast of changes in policy coverage and market conditions
• Perform risk analysis/consulting, policy reviews as they pertain to client Executive Risk exposures
• Maintain productive business relations and engage in contact with clients as circumstances dictate upon consultation with each account’s primary relationship manager. Engage in productive contact with underwriters, other departmental account executives and producers
• Keep current with the firm’s Executive Risk markets and underwriters and create spec sheets for coverage requirements for each line of business. Determine best providers for client needs on a case by case basis, and make recommendations on coverage and cost
• Write explanatory materials on Executive Risk products/services in conjunction with upper management. Coordinate sales materials with the organization’s sales teams. Educate other teams within the organization on all aspects of Executive Risk products, including but not limited to exposures, coverage forms, and the application process
• Suggest and participate in product creation and/or improvements branded to DSG
• Help train Executive Risk Associate/Assistant Account Executive(s), coordinate and monitor workload for maximum efficiency
• All other duties pertaining to Executive Risk products as deemed necessary by Managing Director

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Valid Property and Casualty Broker’s license
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial insurance brokerage professional lines experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of agency management system, AMS360 and WorkSmart preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-starter, professional and assertive
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, challenging work environment
