Lead Financial Analyst - $120,000 all in job in New York

(New York)  Client is a $5BB+ Insurance/Reinsurance carrier that writes a diverse mix of P&C and specialty lines business.  Client is part of an insurance carrier that dates back over 100 years, has a global footprint in over 40 countries and has close to 10,000 employees. The client has been acquisitive over the years and is in a post-acquisition integration and growth stage.   The work environment is collaborative.  The client’s most successful associates have the ability to work in a mid-sized environment and have a desire to be impactful in their roles. Client seeks a Lead Financial Analyst to support the middle market specialty lines. This role is open due to the Client’s desire to continue to build synergy between the business units and finance by embedding strong finance professionals in the business units. Compensation is open but gravitating to the $100,000 on the fixed plus a bonus on top of this.  All in, the role is expected to be in the $115,000 - $120,000 range. Scope:

• Provide financial and budget analyses by gathering and evaluating financial data, performing trend analysis, forecasting investment conditions and communicating with key stakeholders to support and influence business and investment decision-making
• Develop and deliver financial reports by translating hard numbers into factual information using internal reporting, collaborating with team members, evaluating complex financial issues and recommending solutions to guide future organizational decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.

 
Responsibilities:

• Support the completion of accurate financial reporting metrics by gathering information, performing data entry, verifying accuracy and collaborating with senior analysts and department managers as needed
• Facilitate effective decision-making in designated area of responsibility by analyzing financial information, forecasting business, industry and economic conditions and communicating implications to senior management
• Participate in the identification of information sources, testing of financial analysis models and gathering of reference information to ensure business growth and development
• Support senior analysts and managers in providing guidance to senior leadership by serving as a functional and technical expert and analyzing financial performance to align budget guidelines and strategies with business requirements
