Senior General Liability Claims Examiner job in New York, NY

- The GL Claim Examiner will manage the litigation, investigation and disposition of general liability claims and lawsuits. Will coordinate the development of claims and litigation with client hospitals, agencies, and carrier representatives. Will work with counsel to develop the litigation strategy review, analyze and document defense counsel correspondence and expert reviews; conduct regularly scheduled claim conferences with carriers, hospital representatives and defense counsel to develop defense/settlement strategies and obtain settlement authority; provide written and oral communication to insureds regarding commencement, settlement and/or disposition of lawsuits.
- Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s Degree required; JD preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as claim examiner for an insurance company or third party administrator. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, organizational abilities. Microsoft Office Suite skills.
