Commercial Underwriting Team Leader job in Northern New Jersey

A+ property and casualty insurance carrier is seeking a Commercial Underwriting Team Leader. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for underwriting and marketing small to mid size commercial accounts(property and casualty). Experience with habitation, products, real estate, mercantile required. Experience developing relationships with the brokerage community, including wholesale brokers and having an excess and surplus lines background required. In addition to underwriting and marketing, the Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing a group of 2-3 underwriters and their successful contributions to underwriting profitable business and establishing brokerage and mga relationships. Bachelors Degree required. Designations a strong recommendation. Proven pc and technical skill sets and ability to present to brokers and senior management. P&C Carrier underwriting required and will consider underwriters with 10-15 years direct experience. 120K+ base including bonus and full benefits package.
