(California) Client is well recognized, market leader in Life Insurance and Retirement Services with significant businesses in the life, annuities and group retirement space. This firm is one of the largest in the U.S. with close to 20 million customers. Reporting to the EVP and COO, theClient is seeking an AVP of Financial Analysis for the Client’s Individual Annuity Distribution business. A fuller job description is below: Development of sales and expense budgets for multi-billion dollar annuity sales organizationModeling of sales compensation plans for wholesalers, sales managers and other sales support roles.Tracking of actual expenses, preparation of variance analysis, expense accruals, forecasts, competitive analysis and management reporting on both sales and expenses, as well as the financial administration of various sales support programs and wholesaler expense budgets.Develop and administer expense allocations among product lines.Manage a small team of business analysts in support of the functions above.This position will interface with senior sales managers, product manufacturing, Corporate Finance and other Distribution analysts.Ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills (written and oral) as well as the ability to interface directly with Sr. Management of the distribution organization.Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Insurance experience with MBA/CPA or both would be ideal.
