A.V.P Travel Accident Underwriting job in central

Responsible for assisting with overall management within the Travel profit center including pricing, reporting, marketing and working with other departments within the division. Candidate should have strong underwriting and technical background and be able to transfer skills to other lines of business including Special Risk and Occupational Accident. Candidate should have strong marketing skills and be able to attend meetings solo, as well as pitch other products within the portfolio. As job progresses, there will be opportunity to be involved with international opportunities as well as domestic.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee underwriters including tasks resulting from new and renewal Travel and Occupational Accident accounts.
o Pricing cases
o Reviewing cases above underwriter’s authority
o Agent, MGA and MGU relations
o Overseeing and managing creation of program summaries
o Monitoring of brochure review
o Underwriting auditing
o Contract review

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree

-Strong analytical skills

At least five years of underwriting experience. Background in Travel Insurance would be plus but not a requirement.

-Microsoft Office software and Computer proficiency

-Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

-Project management skills

-Excellent organizational skills

-Ability to work independently, as well as contribute in a team environment

-Willingness to travel (potentially some international travel)

-Strong marketing skills
