Personal Lines CSR job in Houston

This job entails the total account handling of personal lines risks for a small agency  as well as assistance with the service work for life, group health and other employee benefits. Details of the job will include:

• Alpha split of personal lines assigned to Customer Service Representative
• Talk with and service existing clients. Review coverage and policy information
• Marketing new business and cross-selling existing accounts
• Agency management system AMS 360. Type invoices, etc. Most policies direct billed
• Rating: Use Company (Travelers, Safeco, etc.) rating systems and Rackley rating
• Rate auto, homeowners, boats, jewelry, umbrellas, etc. and prepare applications
• Computer interface with Travelers, Safeco, Chubb, & Progressive
• Claims handled on Direct Loss Reporting with most carriers but assist client when problem arises. Take claims with other companies that do not use Direct Loss Reporting and where necessary follow-up
• Type letters for producers (accuracy in typing & proofreading required)
• Word processing--proposals, letters, etc.
• Keep neat, orderly customer files & file daily
• Pull mail daily
• Process policies, endorsements, binders, auto I.D. cards, premium finance agreements, etc.
• Document & Suspense
• Assist with life, group health, and other employee benefits service work. Help with marketing on new and renewal group accounts at the direction of producer. Assist with resolving claim issues that arise for clients. Work with Excel program in the preparation of proposals
• Help with the issuance of Commercial certificates of insurance
• Answer telephone
