The Regional Sales Manager function is for the business development of the wide array of Accident & Health accident opportunities in the market. He/she will be responsible for the attainment of topline line growth of the targeted objectives through product sales to wholesalers and/or brokers. The core priority of the incumbent would be lead in the development in the following types of Accident & Health business: Blanket AccidentSpecialtiesCritical Illness InsuranceBusiness Travel AccidentParticipant AccidentVoluntary BenefitsHospital IndemnityOccupational Accident for Owner OperatorsInjured on Duty The incumbent will need to identify and target key market segments and drive growth in the 3-4 key segments that will be most scalable in their respective geographical area. Job Duties to include the following: 1. General Description: Identify key market segments and develop value proposition for them with underwriting team.Create product profiles to determine what is required for each segmentProvide regular in-depth market intelligence, monitoring the competitor market place, feeding information through to the product development schedule 2. Business Development Work with each of the wholesale or retail producer to establish key sales strategies for each market segment. Work with wholesale or retail producer to identify key opportunities in existing and new segmentsDefine a business development strategy. Work with underwriting team to develop risk solution for customers 3. Market intelligence Regularly review competitor activityWork with the underwriting team to identify new product development opportunities New ProductionMeasurement of product market vs. established plan Year on Year Growth Essential Skills Insurance Business Development Knowledge of respective market Business to Business sales skills Prospecting Activity Management Experience in developing 3rd party relationships Good interpersonal skills Solid communication skills Strong understating acumen Excellent Communication skills Self-Motivator Entrepreneurial Nature 2. Desirable Experience Domestic Accident & Health Sales Long Term Broker relationship building 2-3 years of Experience in Accident & Health Business Prospecting experience Some Underwriting skills Accident & Health License
