Director of Claims Management Services

Chicago, IL

Overview:

The Director of Claims Management Services is responsible for the oversight of all CMS activities and services.

This includes the management of claims administrators and in-house occupational nurse, claims reporting and management, loss control reporting, and directing educational seminars.

This will also include being a part of the sales process and directing service issues as they relate to claims handling.

Duties Included:

Lead and direct Claims Administrators to ensure prompt P & C and Personal Lines claims reporting and claims management.

Work in conjunction with In-House Occupational Health Nurse to oversee and direct Reserve Reduction program.

Review of P & C and PL Claims and Claims Adminstrators on weekly basis, and assistance with large and/or problematic claims.

Participation in WC claim reviews as needed; and interaction with adjusters and defense counsel.

Review of WC trends via El, RR and loss runs to identify areas where service is required; assistance with creation of Service Plans.

Creation of safety/ loss control policies, procedures and investigation documents for Client Companies.

Creation of 3 Workers Comp/ Safety seminars per year for Clients; including topics and coordination of speakers.

Resource to Producers and Account Managers for Claims issues, including Client and Prospect presentations.

Lead and Participate in other areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree

Associate in Claims is a big plus-

6 years of claims expereince with strong hands on coverage background in General Liability/ Product Liability/ Employment Practices/ Workers Compensation

Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills are required.

Salary:  $80,000 - $110,000
